On December 14th, we are so excited to host Treuse Cinema for their first ever movie marathon in Fellowship Hall. Treuse Cinema is an evolving pop-up movie screening model, bringing owner Kiara Williams one step closer to a boutique movie theater central to Downtown Detroit.
Seven months ago, after driving 40+ minutes from Detroit to see Sinners, she realized: Detroit deserves better. She surveyed 94 Detroit residents and 71% said they’d attend monthly if a downtown theater existed. Distance is the #1 barrier.
So, here it is: the big launch!
This isn’t just a movie screening, it’s the first chapter of Treuse Cinema, Detroit’s boutique movie theater concept bringing curated film experiences back to Downtown.
Join us for a full day of holiday classics starting at 10:00am, from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas to the heartfelt This Christmas, ending with Home Alone and an exclusive community gathering with founder Kiara Williams. And yes, there will be popcorn.
Every ticket you buy helps validate this vision and brings Treuse Cinema closer to a permanent theater. Thank you for being here at the start! To stay updated, follow @treusecinema on Instagram
