At the Congregation we have had the utmost pleasure of establishing a relationship with local nonprofit 360 Detroit. They host all sorts of events throughout the year, participate in our summer farmers market, and have become a staple in our operations as a business. 360 Detroit, Inc., founded in 2014 by George Adams, Jr., began with an image of a beautiful, vital neighborhood and connected community supporting it and its members. Although the work began with a single man’s image and the support of few, it has grown into a community effort with benefits realized for all that are involved. 360 Detroit, Inc. has worked with community residents to revitalize the Virginia Park neighborhood through the development of 360 Park and beautification of vacant lots in the neighborhood.
In line with its mission to revitalize Detroit by catalyzing change, empowering people and improving life’s quality, 360 Detroit continues to offer programs and support improvement projects. Current program sessions include Art, Wellness (Hustle Dance, Zumba, Yoga) and 360 Park activities (Movies, Camping, Youth Sports). Community meetings are held monthly and special events such as Kids to 360 Park Day, Annual community block party & resource fair and various celebrations are held throughout the year. Current projects are West Euclid Housing and Art House 2.0. 360 Detroit, Inc. is fueled by volunteers, donations and grant support.
